Miami is one of the few American cities where outdoor tennis genuinely runs twelve months a year. The trade-off is a rainy season from May through October where afternoon thunderstorms are almost daily and overnight rain can soak courts by morning. The 7 AM check isn't a suggestion here — it's the routine.

The tail of peak season
March through April is the final stretch of Miami's dry, comfortable season. Mornings run 68–76°F with low humidity and minimal rain. Courts are consistently dry and conditions are outstanding. May marks the transition — humidity climbs and the first afternoon storms of the rainy season begin appearing.
Rainy season — mornings are your window
June through September is Miami's rainy season. Afternoon thunderstorms are nearly guaranteed, but the 7 AM hour is typically clear and relatively comfortable (80–86°F). The bigger risk is overnight storms — when a squall line moves through after midnight, courts can be standing in water at 7 AM. Playable checks the overnight rainfall before you leave the house.
Rainy season winds down in October
October marks the transition back to dry season. Storms become less frequent, humidity starts to pull back, and morning temperatures settle into a comfortable range. By November, conditions are consistently excellent and the snowbird season begins. November and December are arguably Miami's best tennis months.
Peak tennis season
December through February is when the rest of the country wishes they were playing in Miami. Mornings run 66–74°F, humidity is low, and rain is infrequent. Courts are dry, conditions are perfect, and the outdoor season is in full bloom. This is when Miami's courts fill up with locals and visitors alike.
